2018
I used the pattern from Canvas Tote with Quilted Pocket Panel to make Patricia's bag but used black twill instead of canvas. I also used a new product called fusible foam which gives these totes a firm base and sides. I sewed the pockets at 6 inch intervals which made 3 nice sized pockets.
Patricia is a friend from childhood. She lived across the street from me when we were growing up in Valhalla, New York. This is the bag I made for her:
The tote below I made for my dear friend, Connie who I met at Trinity Church. She was at my house one day and said she like a fabric that was sitting on the dining room table so I decided to make her a bag. Connie's bag does not have any outer pockets because I used Debbie shore's method of using a rectangular base instead of boxed corners.
The bottom half of the inside is a fabric with pictures of horses. I put in a large zipper pocket. I used cork fabric on the sides and the base. I also used fusible foam interfacing.
