Here are 3 types of face masks and the instructions I used to make them.
This ended up being my favorite mask to make for friends. It has a pocket where I slide in one or two pieces of Halyard 600 paper to act as a filter.
This mask is folded but when you expand it to cover the nose and mouth, you don't see the folds.

This is the wire that was recommended in the video. It is quite strong and stiff. I used it in these masks but in all my other cotton fabric masks I just used thin wire from twisties that you use for produce bags in grocery stores.
Instead of elastic, I learned how to cut old t-shirts to make strings that have give in them. You just cut a one inch strip horizontally and pull hard. This will make the fabric curl up and narrow the width.
