I love the way these Oven Mitts came out. They work really well too! They slip on easily and are heat resistant. Inside each one is a layer of Insul-Brite and a layer of cotton batting. I learned that you shouldn't use a polyester or non-cotton fabric or thread when making heat resistant gloves or pot holders. Everything should be cotton except the special Insul-Brite batting.
I followed the video below but made my own oval templates based on oval oven mitts that I had in my kitchen.
