I made this bag for my daughter Lizzy who wanted a blue bag with a long shoulder strap. She also wanted a zip closure incase she went around the city with her bag. It was a bit tricky to insert the zip and it sort of restricts the opening. Making an extra long zip panel would keep the opening as wide as the bag opening but it would stick out at the sides. There is no easy solution.
I liked the way the piecing of the different batik fabrics look. It's quite a stunning bag!
