I designed this cute cross body bag using all the skills and ideas I've been picking up from various Youtube videos. The outside pocket is so easy to make because it is just a piece of fabric folded in half (wrong sides together) and sewn in place by sewing the ribbon to the front of the bag.
I made the ribbon using batick fabric strips measuring 3/4 inch and folding in the edges which are hidden behind.
Believe it or not I used Debbie Shore's Knitting casee tutorial to make this bag! The process is the same except for the dimentions and the use of a 1 inch strap instead of tab ends for the zip.
I also put an inside zipper pocket using Debbie Shore's method from another of her hand bag videos.
This is my 14 year old niece Emily wearing the bag she chose from my collection.
